1. Football Planet's Intellectual Property
The following elements of Football Planet are the exclusive intellectual property of Football Planet and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws:
- The Football Planet brand name, logo, and visual identity
- Original written content, editorial copy, and descriptions created by Football Planet
- The website's design, layout, user interface, and codebase
- Original statistical compilations, data presentations, and analysis created by Football Planet
Unauthorised reproduction, distribution, modification, or public display of Football Planet's proprietary content is prohibited without prior written permission.
2. Third-Party Content
Football Planet displays content owned by third parties, including:
- Football club crests and logos — property of the respective football clubs and federations
- Player and team photographs — property of their respective rights holders
- Live match data and statistics — sourced from API-Football and other licensed data providers
- News facts and stories — factual football news is aggregated from third-party news providers as concise Football Planet Briefs, with the original publisher named and linked. News artwork on Football Planet is Football Planet's own editorial graphics system; publisher photography is not publicly displayed unless Football Planet holds a documented basis permitting that specific use
- YouTube video content embedded on the Social Network — content created by and remaining the property of the respective YouTube channel owners; embedded via YouTube's official Embed API under YouTube's Terms of Service. Football Planet does not host, store, or monetise this video content
- YouTube video content embedded on the Admin Live Panel — publicly-available YouTube videos selected by Football Planet's editorial team and embedded on the dashboard via YouTube's official Embed API. The video remains on YouTube's servers; Football Planet does not download, copy, re-host, or commercially exploit the content. Only publicly-available videos (i.e. not private or unlisted) are featured. Videos are automatically removed from the dashboard if they become unavailable on YouTube
Football Planet does not claim ownership of any third-party trademarks, logos, images, data, or video content. Such content is displayed for informational, community-sharing, and identification purposes under applicable law and the terms of the originating platform.
3. User-Submitted Content — Profiles, Social Network Posts, YouTube Shares & Internet Photo Reposts
When you submit content to Football Planet — including agent profiles, player portfolios, club listings, fan club pages, Social Network posts, photos, videos, YouTube video links, and internet photo reposts — you represent and warrant that:
- You own all intellectual property rights in the content you submit, or have the necessary licences and permissions from the rights holders, or that your sharing is authorised by the platform on which the content originates
- Your submission does not infringe any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property right of any third party
- You have the right to grant Football Planet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit the submitted content as part of the Football Planet service
- Any photos you upload directly to the Social Network are your own original works or content for which you hold a valid licence permitting public publication
- Any internet photos you repost are in the public domain, licensed under Creative Commons or a similar open licence that permits republication, or you hold a valid right to repost them
- Any YouTube video links you share are shared in a manner consistent with YouTube's Terms of Service and the terms under which the original video was published on YouTube. You must not share private, unlisted, or otherwise restricted videos without the uploader's authorisation
- You will not post screenshots, clips, or recordings of broadcast football matches, commercially licensed highlights, or any other content protected by a third party's copyright without authorisation
YouTube Embed — How It Works (Social Network & Admin Live Panel)
Football Planet embeds YouTube videos in two ways, both using YouTube's official Embed API:
Social Network posts: A registered user pastes a YouTube URL into a post. Football Planet validates that the video is publicly embeddable before storing and rendering the embed. The user is responsible for ensuring the video is publicly shareable and that they are authorised to share it.
Admin Live Panel: Football Planet's editorial team selects a publicly-available YouTube video and features it at the top of the dashboard via the official YouTube embed player. Only public videos are featured. Videos are automatically removed if they become unavailable on YouTube.
Video states: An embedded YouTube video may be an ordinary recording, an upcoming scheduled broadcast (not yet started), a live broadcast in progress, or a completed livestream replay. Football Planet obtains live/upcoming/replay status directly from YouTube's metadata API; it does not infer status from title or thumbnail. All four states are subject to the same YouTube terms, copyright, and privacy rules.
In both cases, Football Planet uses YouTube's official embedded player. Videos remain hosted and served by YouTube. Embedding is subject to YouTube's Terms of Service, the YouTube API Services Terms, the uploader's embedding settings, and applicable copyright, privacy, and other law. Availability on YouTube does not guarantee that every video may lawfully be featured in every jurisdiction or context. Football Planet does not copy, download, re-encode, re-host, or otherwise duplicate the video file. Original creator attribution, YouTube branding, and monetisation are preserved in the embedded player. Football Planet validates that embedding is enabled before featuring a video and removes embeds when eligibility changes.
Important — Social Network Copyright Disclaimer
Football Planet operates a notice-and-moderation process for the Social Network. We do not pre-screen all user-generated content, but we review and act on valid reports. Each user is responsible for ensuring that their posts — including YouTube video shares and internet photo reposts — comply with applicable copyright law and the terms of the originating platform. Football Planet's liability for third-party content is subject to applicable law, including relevant intermediary and hosting provisions. If you believe a user has posted content that infringes your copyright, please submit a notice as described in Section 6 below.
4. Permitted Use of Football Planet Content
- Share links to Football Planet pages on social media, websites, or messaging platforms
- Quote brief excerpts from Football Planet editorial content for commentary, criticism, or news reporting, with attribution and a link back to the original page
- Print individual pages for personal, non-commercial use
You may not, without prior written permission:
- Reproduce, republish, or redistribute substantial portions of Football Planet content on another website or platform
- Scrape Football Planet data at scale for commercial use
- Create derivative works from Football Planet's original content
- Use the Football Planet name or logo in any way that suggests endorsement or affiliation
5. Football Planet Briefs — Attribution & Source Policy
Football Planet displays internal "Brief" pages for football news stories. These Briefs are governed by the following rules, which apply regardless of the source:
- Football Planet Briefs never reproduce the full article body. Only the headline and a short factual description (sourced from a licensed API or RSS description field) are displayed.
- Every Brief clearly attributes the original publisher by name, with a prominently displayed link to read the full article at the source.
- Source-type classification is displayed on every Brief (source attribution such as "Source: ESPN", Editorial Brief, Official Announcement, or External Link Only; a "Licensed Source" label appears only where a documented licence is on file). Unknown sources are always external-link-only — no description is shown.
- News artwork is Football Planet's own editorial graphics system. Brief pages and news cards display Football Planet-created graphics built from our own layouts, typography, and abstract football motifs, using only verified factual story data. External publisher photography is not publicly displayed unless a documented basis (such as an explicit licence) is on file for that specific use. In the limited cases where an externally sourced image is displayed under such a basis, it is loaded by direct reference from the original publisher's own servers; Football Planet does not copy, store, or re-host publisher images and does not claim ownership of or a licence to them beyond what is documented. Rights holders may request removal at any time using the controls below.
- Full article fetch is permanently disabled for all sources. Football Planet does not scrape, copy, or reproduce article body text from any publisher's website.
Rights-holder Controls
Every Football Planet Brief page includes a "Report / Rights request" control. Publishers, rights holders, and individuals may use this to:
Report a factual error or misleading content in a Brief
Request a correction
Submit a rights-holder removal request for a specific Brief
Rights-holder removal requests are reviewed by our editorial team within 5 business days. Formal DMCA notices should be submitted as described in Section 6 below.
Source policy decisions — including which sources may have Briefs, which may display images, and which are external-link-only — are governed by Football Planet's internal source policy registry. Changes to the registry require qualified legal review and a code deployment. The registry is not publicly editable.
6. DMCA Takedown Procedure
Rights holders who believe that content on Football Planet infringes their intellectual property may contact Football Planet through our copyright reporting process. Valid notices will be reviewed and actioned promptly.
In-app "Report video" button: A "Report video" control is displayed near every embedded YouTube video on Football Planet. This allows any visitor to flag a copyright concern, privacy issue, or other rights matter directly to Football Planet's moderation team without needing to send a formal DMCA notice first. In-app reports are reviewed by our moderation team and may result in removal of the embed, placement on a legal blocklist, or escalation to a formal DMCA process, or a combination. Using the in-app report does not substitute for a formal DMCA counter-notice process if the opposing party has already filed one.
Football Planet complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and responds to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement. This procedure applies to Football Planet's own content, user-generated content posted through the Social Network or profile pages, and internet photos or YouTube video links shared by users that are alleged to infringe copyright. If you believe that content on Football Planet infringes your copyright, please submit a written DMCA takedown notice containing all of the following:
- Your full legal name and contact information (email address, mailing address, telephone number)
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
- The specific URL(s) on Football Planet where the allegedly infringing material is located
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the copyright owner's behalf
- Your physical or electronic signature
Note: For YouTube video content, DMCA notices regarding the underlying video should be submitted directly to YouTube via their copyright complaint process. Submit a notice to Football Planet to request removal of the post linking to the video on our platform.

Misrepresenting that material is infringing may subject you to liability for damages, including costs and legal fees, under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.
7. Counter-Notice Procedure
If content you submitted has been removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notice containing:
- Your full legal name and contact information
- Identification of the removed material and its location before removal
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate federal court
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed content.
8. Repeat Infringers
Football Planet has a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, access for users who are repeat infringers of intellectual property rights. We reserve the right to remove any content and permanently ban any user or Social Network account from submitting further content if they are found to be a repeat infringer — including repeated posting of unauthorised internet photos or restricted YouTube video links.
